Why Hainy Hydrant?
The Hainy Hydrant was born out of necessity.
In 2007, after a devastating wildfire tore through his neighborhood, Malibu Call Firefighter and local builder Matt Haines began installing private hydrants on his own development projects. What started as a way to safeguard his own community quickly became a trusted line of defense for homeowners and first responders.
Proven in its effectiveness and adopted across fire-prone communities, the Hainy Hydrant is now a symbol of preparedness, protection, and neighbors looking out for one another.
